The Twisted Junk: Review of L.A. Noire

by Elias - on Jul 25th 2011 - No Comments
Developed by Rockstar Games and Team Bondi out of Australia, L.A. Noire takes into the life of Cole Phelps, a World War 2 Military service man that’s out to make things right by joining the L.A. police force. Around those days L.A was a different place and there were a lot of serial killers as well as copycat killers and although it seemed like a pleasant place the crime situation and corruption was huge. Your job while playing this game is to investigate and find evidence of foul play and get these bad guys into prison or out of the hook.

What makes this game stand out is looking at the facial expression of the people you interrogate and you really do have to look at these faces and basically use your instinct in order to determine whether their lying or telling you the truth. There will be times in which you will fail and that is because sometimes the faces can be a little tricky. Iin one instance you will notice a character in the game that will mislead you and make you think that their telling you the truth when in fact it’s a lie. The graphics are exactly what we were expecting from Mafia 2, but the folks over at 2K failed to bring this to their game. Luckily for us Team Bondi came in with L.A. Noire and showed 2K games how video games are supposed to be created especially with a 1940’s theme.

Forget Grand Theft Auto 5 because Saint’s Row: The Third is the new GTA!

by Elias - on Jun 29th 2011 - No Comments

If you thought that the folks over at THQ and Volition were going to bring another crappy Saint’s Row game that has the same bad graphics; well you may be surprise on how awesome exactly the next installment of the series looks. This time around we will get a new city to get lost and cause chaos in and a better way to explain that is by watching the video below. I always knew that eventually Rockstar would start to suck and figure out a way to ruin GTA, so it is very obvious that they have because this generation is almost over in gaming. Being that we have only seen one GTA title that’s actually next gen makes me question if they are even working on a GTA title.

Either way like everything else in life, there’s always a replacement and from looking at the new Saint’s Row gameplay video you will probably agree. The graphics look very next gen and will probably challenge the next GTA game if the folks over at Rockstar Games get off their fat asses and create the damn game already while we’re young.

Check out the video below.

Save up to 33% on Mafia 2 for the PC

Steam is having a nice sale for those who wanted to check out Mafia 2, but didn’t want to pay the full price of the game when it came out. As you probably know we gave this game a really bad review and even though the game sucked the PC version is probably better, because there will be a ton of MODs for Mafia 2 and this could mean a whole different experience for the gamer as you may get to play some Mafia 2 multplayer.

Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete is here!

by Elias - on Oct 29th 2010 - No Comments

Grand theft Auto fans out there or anyone looking to get into GTA can get a special version of this game that brings you Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost & Damned as well  as The Ballad of Gay Tony for under $40 dollars. If you have a PS3 of an XBOX 360 you really have no excuse to get this game as you will love it once you play it for the first time. Below you can see the box art of how these will look in the store shelf. This kind of makes us wonder if Rockstar will be releasing information on what is next for Grand Theft Auto and if its going to be in Vice City, San Andreas, but being that things at Rockstar are really secretive we may find out that it will probably be Grand Theft Auto 5 or V.

The True Crime: Hong Kong screens are here!

Well there is no doubt that we are anticipating to play the upcoming  True Crime game from Activision and why wouldn’t we especially now that Activision has chosen a new developer for the game. As you may or may have not known Activision is the publisher of this game, but the original games of the True Crime franchise were Luxoflux and they did a terrible job with these games, but we cannot blame as they were limited on the PS2. I think that Activision knew that in order for this game to succeed it would have to get done by someone else, a fresh team. This time United Front Games is in charge and the game looks pretty good, well check out this screenshots below and you will see.
