Rockstar Games Announces the official Max Payne 3 Release Date

by Elias - on Jan 24th 2012 - No Comments

Max Payne 3 was nice game to look at last year at the New York City Comic-Con, but it seemed like the game’s official release date was almost unknown until now. According to Rockstar Games, Max Payne 3 will be released on May 15, 2012 in North America and May 18, 2012 internationally; and for the PC on May 29, 2012 in North America and June 1, 2012 internationally. Here’s what Dan Houser had to say on Max Payne 3.

Max Payne 3 brings powerful storytelling back to the action-shooter genre,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “Rockstar Studios are delivering a game that’s both incredibly cinematic and very, very intense to play.”

What made Max Payne as a series enjoyable to play was the cinematic part of it and I can tell you from seeing it first hand that it looked great. If you are a Grand Theft Auto fan you will probably want to check this one out as you wait for that game to get released.

First Max Payne 3 multiplayer details, screenshots revealed

by Paul Yan - on Dec 14th 2011 - No Comments

New info and screenshots have emerged for Max Payne 3′s multiplayer, and as IGN details, the game will feature a narrative-driven mode and trick-based special abilities.

As IGN reports in their multiplayer preview of the game, MP 3 will include a narrative-driven “Gang Wars” mode in which mission objectives/types change in each round. In one mission type, for example, players must collect and return cash-stuffed duffel bags back to their safe points as a drug deal goes awry.

As the game remembers the results of the previous round, the next round will require players to do something different like acquire a bounty by killing the last round’s most lethal player or capture territory from leading team; the winners of the latter might then be tasked to defuse bombs planted on their territory in the following round.

For Gang Wars’ narrative aspect, the mode will reportedly flesh out the story of the game’s gangs/factions as it coincides with Max’s timeline. Additionally, Max’s voice and “motion comics” will be implemented as well.

During a match, players will be able to use special abilities called “Bursts” that can be unlocked via XP. Each has three levels and some of them are illusion-based like “paranoia” (which fools the opposing team into thinking their teammates are enemies) and “sneaky” (which causes enemies to view your gamertag as friendly). There’s also “intuition” which allows you to see the silhouettes of all enemies.

Another Burst is the series’ familiar “Bullet Time” which will slow down time for both you and the person you’re targeting. Additionally, there’s the “Shootdodge” mechanic that allows players to jump away from an enemy’s line of sight.

Grand Theft Auto V – The Release Date might be June 1, 2012!

by Elias - on Nov 17th 2011 - 2 Comments

Fake boxart

Normally the release date on a Grand Theft Auto game is usually at around late October, but according Walmart, which one of the United States biggest retailer, GTA V is going to release on June 1, 2012. As of now there is no confirmation on the truth behind this, but being that Walmart is a really big company chances are that its the truth. It makes more sense to publish a game before the summer as everyone is done with school and can dedicate more hours to gaming.

Below is a s screenshot that we took of the Walmart page that indicate a possible release date of the game. Under the screenshot is a link to the actual page that might get deleted once the folks over at Rockstar catch wind about it.
