Call of Duty: Black Ops update made things worst!

by Elias - on Dec 15th 2010 - 3 Comments

So today the new patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops is available for download and we were complaining that the patch before was bad, but we didn’t know that this new patch was going to be worst. With this new patch we kept getting that Notice “Game Lobby Closed” message as well as simply getting kicked out of the lobby a lot. The match system is still bad and many times the system had difficulties with finding a potential match, which made things unpleasant and made me close the thing and not want to play again. What ever happened to quality Activision and Treyarch?

Phil Harrison says that this is the last we see of consoles!

by Elias - on Dec 5th 2010 - No Comments

Former Sony man, Phil Harrison has told Gamasutra that we may end up seeing the last of dedicated consoles as the popularity of web and open platforms continue to grow. To a degree we can say that he may be right, but it will be difficult to adapt such technology right now as people are used to buying a console. It is the future though, being that Onlive is the  new kid in town and is already doing this. It would be a difficult thing to XBOX Live or Playstation Network go as especially if for the people that have collections of games, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Cloud gaming just seems wrong and it’s going to suck if your internet goes down and you can’t play your games.

Check out what Phil Harrison had to say below.

“I think we have probably seen the last of the traditional game console companies already in the market. I don’t think we’re going to see a new entrant who is going to be able to compete at the level that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have established…The console companies, I believe, will want to figure out how to become more open and to deliver more content without restriction to more people, to stimulate creativity…I think in the next five-to-ten years we will easily get this level of game inside a web browser, on your mobile platform, on your iPad, and we will be able to deliver that level of immersion to any kind of screen.”

You can now use a Gameshark on the Playstation 3

by Elias - on Nov 24th 2010 - No Comments

Call it what you will, but a  company over in Japan has released what is equivalent to a Gameshark or Gamegenie that will help cheaters is many ways while playing. If you like to cheat on your games you will probably enjoy this add on and anyone stuck in a game can finally finish that game. The only thing is that the device is only for sale over in Japan, but if it sells enough there will be people importing it as well as the company selling it in North America. So far this Game Genie or codefreak as they are calling supports about 50+ games and has an app that you can download for your PC, so things look promising.

It will be interesting to see if you will be able to cheat on games online, because if this device supports that it’s going to be hell trying to play multiplayer especially Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. There is also the concern that the Playstation Network will start banning gamers that use such device.

We will keep you posted with news to this device coming out in North America or at least where to get it.

The Playstation 3 get’s some Vudu!

by Elias - on Nov 17th 2010 - No Comments

Things are non-stop over at Playstation as you will soon get to stream movies from the popular movie service Vudu. This makes the Playstation 3 a console that accommodates just about anything and a great thing for us gamers. We are personally waiting for the day when Sony puts Amazon video on the console as we own a good chunk of movies there, but that hasn’t been announced yet. Vudu on the Playstation 3 is going to be yet another hit on companies like Comcast that want to fuck with our internet to make profits.
