Hot on the heels of Assassin’s Creed III‘s allegedly leaked promotional art comes something more official: the image of the game’s official box art.

Posted on AC’s Facebook page, AC III’s cover art for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC pretty much confirms that AC III will indeed be set in the Revolutionary War as the Continental flag can be seen in the background. In the foreground, a white-clad, tomahawk-wielding assassin is seemingly about to kill a redcoat. Notice the gun in the air!

I fell off the AC bandwagon after AC II, but the Revolutionary War setting has me very, very intrigued. Consider me back on the bandwagon!

Assassin’s Creed III Packshots [Facebook, via Kotaku]

According to a Kotaku source, that awesome Star Wars-themed Xbox 360 that was revealed earlier this year, but then delayed, will be released sometime in April 2012.

As Gizmodo (via Kotaku) previously reported, the console has a R2-D2 design, customized sounds, and a sexy, shiny golden C-3PO-style controller. You can check it out in the screenshot above, courtesy of Kotaku, who notes that the console is currently “being used on the set of a popular network television show.”

We saw Ryu Hayabusa and Hayate beat each other up in this pre-alpha gameplay footage for Dead or Alive 5, now see two women from the game, brunette karate martial artist Hitomi and purple-haired ninja Ayane, beat other up in these new screenshots for the upcoming fighter set to release sometime in 2012.

It looks like Ryu Hayabusa will be traveling around the world in Ninja Gaiden III, but it won’t be for lovely vacations. Besides London, our ninja hero will also be headed to Dubai where he’ll be busy bloodily fighting foes like the Alchemist Forces, as you can see in these NG III screens.

I suppose a ninja’s work is never done, but perhaps Ryu should consider kicking back at a tropical island resort to get away from all this bloodshed. I mean, what could possibly happen at a tropical island resort?

Not only will The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have vampires and cannibals (that’s right, cannibals), but there will also be werewolves too.

Apparently, leaked gameplay videos of Skyrim have recently been popping on YouTube showing werewolves in action. According to GameSpy, one video showed a character transforming into a werewolf while another showed a playable werewolf causing havoc.

Unfortunately, Bethesda has been taking down any videos featuring these mythological, and unofficially confirmed beasts, but thanks to GameSpy, we at least have screenshots to look at while we ponder the big question: Team Vampire or Team Werewolf?

Skryim has Werewolves… and Cannibals [GameSpy, via G4TV]

BioWare’s working on a new, unannounced project and here’s your first glimpse of what it looks like. The above image, courtesy of Game Informer (via Joystiq), shows a man flying from a crashed vehicle in a desert environment.

BioWare is slated to unveil what it’s working on at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards show, which airs next month on Dec. 10.
