Available in theaters now is Underworld Awakening, which is shaping up to be one of the best vampire movies of this year. With the sexy Kate Beckinsale that plays Selene in the movie you can only expect the best. In addition to that you have an interesting cast with actors such as  Stephen Rea and Michael Ealy things just get crazier. You’ve soaked up the first full-length trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, now ogle at the debut trailer of Peter Jackson’s prequel to The Lord of The Rings trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

As the Huffington Post reports, The Hobbit follows Biblo Baggins as he, along with a fellow band of dwarves, attempt to reclaim the “Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor” from Smaug the dragon.

Some characters from the LOTR movies will return as the original actors reprise their roles: Gangalf the Grey (Sir Ian McKellan) and Gollum (Andy Serkis) will be back, along with Frodo (Elijah Wood), Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) who will reportedly play smaller roles.

The Hobbit will be released in December 2012, while the second Hobbit movie, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, is reportedly scheduled for 2013.

Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy comes to an end with The Dark Knight Rises and here’s a two-minute official look at it in action. The dark knight rises in summer 2012.

Next year we’ll be getting two versions of The Amazing Spider-Man: One will be the Spider-Man movie reboot from Marc Webb, while the other will be the video game movie tie-in from Beenox (Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Edge of Time).

According to a press release (via Joystiq), The Amazing Spider-Man game will be released alongside the movie, taking place after the events of the film. Being written by Hollywood writer Seamus Kevin Fahey (Battlestar Galactica), the game will once again have Spider-Man web-slinging all over an open-ended New York City, this time complete with a new “Web Rush” mechanic and improved navigation and combat.

We’ll be able to catch a new trailer for the game at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards airing this Saturday at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST. In the meantime, you can swing your way over to the game’s official website which says the game will out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS.

Looking for something to watch on the big screen this weekend? Well look no further and check out this trailer for Real Steel the new sci-fi movie available on theaters now. Starting Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo and the very sexy Evangeline Lilly from Lost. This movie takes you into the near future when robot boxing is a popular sport. The fictional life of Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman), a struggling promoter of the sport, who seems to of his protege.

LionsGate has acquired the rights to make the official movie of Techland and Deep Silver’s Dead Island. This movie was inspired by the trailer below and it seems like it wasn’t just gamers that paid attention to the popular horror/action-adventure game. Joe Drake of Liongate had some interesting things to say about the game.

“Like the hundreds of journalists and millions of fans who were so passionate and vocal about theDead Island trailer, we too were awestruck.”

He continued

“This is exactly the type of property we’re looking to adapt at Lionsgate – it’s sophisticated, edgy, and a true elevation of a genre that we know and love. It also has built in brand recognition around the world, and franchise potential.”

Let’s hope that this doesn’t become another video game movie that sucks as many have in the past. We will have to wait and see as zombie movies do tend to be awesome if they are done the right way.

Netflix is spliting the company to two and it seems like things will be getting better for gamers as they will soon start to add games to their queue system. This means that Netflix will be competing with Gamefly and that could be a good thing as some friendly competition might bring the prices down on rentals. Recently I noticed that a lot of the Starz programming was missing from the instant streaming queue, so it’s nice to see that there at least making up for that by bringing in games. Watch the theatrical trailer of  Drive, A movie that will probably remind you of the popular Fast and The Furious series being that it has that kind of style. Now the story is a bit different and what we are liking the most out of this is the fast cars. Staring a guy named  Dirver (Ryan Goselin, The Notebook) this movie is probably the only thing good at theaters right now. There’s also quite an impressive cast with actress such as Christina Hendricks and Casey Mulligan.
