by Elias - on Nov 10th 2011 - No Comments

In case you missed it on the PS3 or XBOX 360, L.A. Noire is available on the PC as of earlier this week. This game was great when it came out and ever since then a lot of DLC came our way that added some  more greatness to it. The Complete Edition will come with The Naked City, The Broderick, A Slip of the Tongue, The Sharpshooter, The Chicago Piano, The Chicago Lightning and The Badge Pursuit Challenge. If you are a Grand Theft Auto fan you probably like this game and the way that Team Bondi recreated the city will probably impress you.

The Twisted Junk: Review of L.A. Noire

Developed by Rockstar Games and Team Bondi out of Australia, L.A. Noire takes into the life of Cole Phelps, a World War 2 Military service man that’s out to make things right by joining the L.A. police force. Around those days L.A was a different place and there were a lot of serial killers as well as copycat killers and although it seemed like a pleasant place the crime situation and corruption was huge. Your job while playing this game is to investigate and find evidence of foul play and get these bad guys into prison or out of the hook.

What makes this game stand out is looking at the facial expression of the people you interrogate and you really do have to look at these faces and basically use your instinct in order to determine whether their lying or telling you the truth. There will be times in which you will fail and that is because sometimes the faces can be a little tricky. Iin one instance you will notice a character in the game that will mislead you and make you think that their telling you the truth when in fact it’s a lie. The graphics are exactly what we were expecting from Mafia 2, but the folks over at 2K failed to bring this to their game. Luckily for us Team Bondi came in with L.A. Noire and showed 2K games how video games are supposed to be created especially with a 1940’s theme.

Take a look at the new trailer for the upcoming L.A. Noire Downloadable content pack of an explosion that happened in L.A. that took many lives. As Arson desk detectives Phelps and Biggs are called in to scene to investigate this unusual state of affairs. Looks promising, but let’s hope that the dlc has some hours of gameplay and not just a short case like the ones in the original storyline. So Rockstar when are we going to hear about GTA V?

If you enjoyed L.A. Noire as much as I did you probably will like this neat animation of Cole Phelps doing his detective work. The comic pokes fun of the game and the whole interrogation scheme as well as Phelps investigation drawing book and sketching skills. Watch the video below and enjoy.

Take a look at the L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass

by Elias - on Jun 3rd 2011 - No Comments

L.A. Noire fans that finished playing all the missions will probably be interested in downloading the new L.A. Noire Rockstar pack. Available on the Playstation Network and XBOX Live you get all of the add ons that Rockstar Games has released for the game and it’s just a little extra for those fans. I’m personally not getting the DLC, because I felt that L.A. Noire was really short and the end of it was kind of disappointing.

One more day until L.A. Noire

In case you didn’t know L.A. Noire comes out tomorrow and from the looks of things the game’s map is going to be huge, which alone should be an inspiration to get it. We got a chance to see first hand this game over at Pax East and let’s say that it was quite impressive. L.A. Noire reminded us of a crossover between Grand Theft Auto and Heavy Rain, so you know that it it’s going to be good. If you didn’t pre order this game you still have a chance at getting your hands on some cool stuff that Rockstar is giving away to those that pre order.

Check out the awesome trailer below.
