Fake boxart

Normally the release date on a Grand Theft Auto game is usually at around late October, but according Walmart, which one of the United States biggest retailer, GTA V is going to release on June 1, 2012. As of now there is no confirmation on the truth behind this, but being that Walmart is a really big company chances are that its the truth. It makes more sense to publish a game before the summer as everyone is done with school and can dedicate more hours to gaming.

Below is a s screenshot that we took of the Walmart page that indicate a possible release date of the game. Under the screenshot is a link to the actual page that might get deleted once the folks over at Rockstar catch wind about it.

If you were old enough to have the privilege to play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in 2002 when it came out you probably appreciate what a group of moders are doing to the game. The other day GTA: San Andreas was updated and what we mean by that is it’s graphics. The modification looked great and it felt like play Grand Theft Auto IV and this is the same thing that these very smart modders are doing making the graphics of the original vice cily compete with that of GTA IV.

Below you can see a video of what to expect and let’s say that these geniuses are planing to release the mod this coming Christmas.

Being that Rockstar is not even near releasing a future Grand Theft Auto, some really smart Mod Makers have figured out a way to modify Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and updating it’s graphics to the point where they look like GTA IV. This is only for PC users, so if you own a console get the PC version of the game and check out the links below with instructions on how to download the mod.

Grand Theft Auto fans out there you will probably be happy to know that a new Grand Theft Auto is probably coming soon. This news comes from Gamespot, where they claim that the game is in it’s final stages and that a 2012 release is pretty likely. According to Gamespot’s sources,  “It’s the big one” and that probably means that the map and storyline is going to be huge when compared to GTA IV. Rockstar Games has been working on games that are based out of the west coast with Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire, so it wouldn’t surprised me if it based in San Andreas 2012.

Rockstar Games has been keeping it’s lips sealed with Max Payne 3 as there really isn’t any much information on this game. It seems like they are starting finally release information on what we can expect on Max Payne 3, and as you can see Max is going to be bald unlike in the previous games back in the PS2 and XBOX days. He is also wearing a summer style shirt, which probably indicates that the game will not be in New York City unlike the previous games. A question to Rockstar Games: Where are the Grand Theft Auto 5 screenshots? We like the Max Payne games, but Rockstar is known for GTA.

Show the fans something for God’s Sake!

A game that we are big fans of is Grand Theft Auto and there is nothing more that GTA fans would like to see is the 3 major cities in the game joined together. For our luck the guys over at GTAsolonline.com are working on a mod that would allow gamers to play Vice City, Liberty City, and San Andreas as they are joining the 3 and making it into a state, which they are calling the State of Liberty. In the preview trailer we didn’t see any airplanes, but as of now things are really early to even think about that. Let’s hope that the planes in San Andreas are made available as the map will be huge and will require that you fly to the major airports in San Andreas, Liberty City and Vice City and driving to these cities will be a hassle. What we like the most is that this game will feel a lot like Vice City, which was great. Rockstar Games really disappointed us with Grand Theft Auto IV as Liberty City felt really small, which makes things feel repetitive unlike San Andreas, so let’s hope that mods like these inspires them to make bigger cities next time around.

We are going to be following them closely and so should you GTA fans until they get it working as it is an interesting mod. Below you can see a trailer as well as a Map of how things are going to look when the mod becomes available.
