In a market in which consoles are banned, the folks over at Lenovo and Eedoo are working to launch a new video game console. The console will be called iSec, which means Sports Entertainment Center and close sources of ours tell us that it will have Kinect and PS Move features right out of the box. In case you didn’t know consoles are banned in China, which means that they do not have PS3, XBOX 360 or even the Wii to spend their free time on. Lenovo being a Chinese company might change that and hopefully the Chinese will game consoles of all types.
The big questions here are whether or not it will make it to the western world and if when can we expect it?
As of now Lenovo is not planing to bring the console to the United States or the Western world, but what they are doing is trying to get it approved for sale in China. They are using exercise as a way to get it approved being that the console will have similar features as Kinect, WII, and PS Move. If they get the ok from the Chinese government, the console will be sold as a trial basis to see if it people would be interested. If things go well, Lenovo might just bring it to the Western world.
In our opinion, the console might not make it in the United States as even Sega has not released anything since the Dreamcast. In a business about exclusives Lenovo & Eedoo should be prepared to pay big cash to get some of these high end developers to make exclusive games for it.
