In case that you were wondering, the demo for Resident Evil: Revelations is available on the Nintendo eShop. This game is coming to Japan on January 26, 2012 and it will become available in North America on February 7, 2012. Download the demo and check it out if you have a Nintendo DS as the storyline is set between the timeline of Resident Evil 4 and 5.

You’ll also know that there has been nothing new from Valve regarding the series since the launch of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 back in October of 2007. It looks like that online petition for a PC port of Dark Souls has gotten the game publisher’s attention. Posting on Namco Bandai’s official European forums, Namco’s administrator “shoupinou” gives PC players hope that the acclaimed action RPG Dark Souls might be headed their way: I honestly wasn’t expecting such a massive support. Fans of Tropico 4 will soon get to see some modern times in the awesome paradise city building game. The awesome folks over at Kalypso have announced today that “El Presidente” will have an about 30 new and modern buildings that should keep you busy building a Caribbean nation. Not to get political on you gamer guys and girls and girls out there, but check out this video of Kay & Peele, a new and funny show from two of the most funny former Mad TV cast members. These guys are Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele that are doing a funny translation of what Barack Obama actually means when he talks to the people. Jordan Peele plays the President and Keegan-Michael. 

As some of you would know the Playstation Vita is going to use many new features that PSP owners could only dream of. In the video up top you get to see Pocket Soccer and how easy is going to be to use tables and other environments around you as locations in which you can play games on. This is a great feature and in this video Jeff Rubenstein of the Playstation Blog will show you this awesome.

The video takes you inside the world of Twisted Metal, which is scheduled to release in mid February of 2012 and what separates this Twisted Metal game from the others is that back then the technology wasn’t available to make this game as awesome as it is going to be now. Sony’s new Playstation Vita released on December 17th in Japan and other parts of Asia, preceding the North American release on February 22nd by almost two months and sales numbers are looking grim so far.  In its first week, the Vita only sold 320 thousand units.  These figures only reflect two days of sales so Sony was hopeful that the next week’s numbers would show improvement.. 

This last year has seen the maturation of many great independent game developers who, through services like Steam or Xbox Live, have been able to more widely release their content. Recent years have brought us some great indie hits like Limbo, Super Meat Boy, and Castle Crashers.  Indie games are not just for hipsters, anymore! Sorry, guy. These games may not have the same resources as.
