About Sega Genesis
The Sega Genesis was one of the biggest competitors to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even though it was a bit older than the SNES it was actually quite powerful. There were games like Sonic The Hedgehog one and two that made it one of the most popular consoles in North America, Europe and Asia. Released in 1988, it was made to be more powerful than the NES and that brought competition to Nintendo. Sega Genesis was discontinued in North America in 1997 and earlier in Japan on 1995.
