Announced today at the Tokyo Game Show was the official PlayStation 3 slim. This could be a sign of the times and a good hint to gamers that a new PlayStation is likely to happen as Sony and Microsoft have to prepare to compete with Nintendo and their upcoming Wii U. According to the PlayStation.blog, this new console is approximately “20% smaller and 25% lighter” than all current PS3 consoles on the market.
There will be two different versions of the new PlayStation 3 Slim. One comes with 250 GB and the other comes with 500 GB of storage, which is a lot of space for a console these days. The 250 GB PS3 slim is going come with a limited edition bundle that will include a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and a voucher that equals to the amount of about $30 dollars worth of bonus digital content for DUST 514. The best part of it all is that the whole bundle is only $269.99, which in my opinion is under-priced.
