News! Microsoft could make Windows 8 a closed platform

Gabe Newell, co-founder of Valve Corporation (an American video game development company), believes that Windows 8 (expected to be released on October 26, 2012) could became an inconvenience or worse for PC game developers due to the changes that the new version will bring. Also, if Microsoft leaves Windows Store as the only option to download games & software, Steam, a digital distributor for games owned by Valve, would be affected because sellers could sell their videogames at the Microsoft Store and not at Steam, but the people at Valve already are getting ready for the future and maybe they will not get terribly affected.
