Purported details for Grand Theft Auto V appeared online last week. They were posted on GTAForums.com from a user named “GTA5RULESALL” who claims to work for a “Playstation magazine in the UK.” Additionally, the user says his team has seen a 30-minute GTA V gameplay video.
Some of the info that was posted includes Los Santos being at least four times larger than GTA IV’s Liberty City, improved shooting mechanics, customizable weapons and character (a “CJ”-like playable character is noted), drivable planes, upgradable vehicles, and a weapon-crafting and leveling-up system (the latter, which was featured in GTA: San Andreas, is said to improve your weapon skills and other abilities).
Also, there will purportedly be animals like dogs and cattle (it’s unknown if they can be harmed, however), more climbable things and indoor locations, various mini-games and NPC-to-NPC interactions, environmental-based tremors, and a more forgiving crime-alert system, yet more “realistic” cops (they’ll use smoke/tear gas, dogs, etc.).
