While visiting Pax East our favorite booth this year was once again the Rockstar Booth. As you may already know if you went to Pax you probably got a chance to check out a demo presentation for L.A Noire. In the demo that they presented to us we saw some interesting things that you may want to know. Although everything was short, the demonstration was good enough for us to tell you that if you are into detective style game, this is probably the game for you. We have to keep some things secret, but it looks like they really went out their way to create a real 1940′s Los Angeles. The graphics on this game look amazing even better than that of Red Dead Redemption.

Story & Gameplay

Well I know that you guys are probably wondering what about the story and characters? The answer to that is that the storyline and gameplay are going to be very involved. In the demo it felt like a better version of Heavy Rain, where it takes the player some thinking and good judgment ability. You have to interrogate suspects and look for clues in the crime scene as well as in the suspects home that will lead you to what really went on a the time of the crime. Below you Cole Phelps at the Rockstar booth while our visit at Pax East!
The characters feel like real people as they walk and interact with each other. The guy that played Cole Phelps does great work at making the game feel more realistic, which makes the game great as he is the main character. In the demo we didn’t get to see the driving aspect of it, because it was mostly storyline, but I did get confirmation from the guy at Rockstar that there will be driving. What we did get to see was an investigation of a guy that murdered his alcoholic-whore wife. You go through the many clues and even to the point where neighbors get questioned.

Sadly, but true we didn’t get to see the character called Elsa Lichtman and we were expecting to see her. She seems like the feisty from back in the day. But what really makes her interesting is the character that she plays and thats where L.A Noire shines as everything look very realistic.

Rusty Galloway was the second character that we saw in the presentation and he shows Phelps the ropes on being a detective in Los Angeles. Overall we were quite impressed with the game especially knowing that a lot of stories are inspire by real stories like the infamous Black Dahlia and many others.

It will be interesting to play this game when it get’s released, but for now you this is all that we have for you on L.A Noire.
