A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is in the works and it looks like Paramount is working on a release date around 2012, so all you fans of this awesome series will probably like it. To see Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael back will be interesting especially because of all this new animation technology around. We could only hope that new animation technology doesn’t change the fun that was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Review of Madden NFL 11

by Elias - on Aug 25th 2010 - 1 Comment

We recently had the chance to get our hands on Madden NFL 11 and this is the official Twisted Junk review. We will tell you of the cool things that this game has to offer and with this review, we hope that you will get to make the right decision as to whether or not you should get this game.

As you may already know, we’re a Boston blog, so naturally we are excited to see the New England Patriots because they are from our hometown, but that’s a different story. Madden NFL 11 was developed by EA Tiburon out of Florida and it almost seems like every year the game gets better and there is always a nice new feature that makes this game a worthwhile buy.

To better understand what the developers are doing and where Madden is changing, we first must see where the game has been in the past, because the series has come a long way since the target rendering issues back in 2005. Until recently, in the past two games you were able to see that things just progressed and got better with the series and especially in Madden NFL 11.

A noticeable issue that the game has is that while playing, you notice a little bit of sliding instead of running and this was a feature that was supposed to be improved, but unfortunately the developers did not make the right improvements to that. It certainly doesn’t make the game any less enjoyable as it is really fun, but it’s noticeable if you pay close attention to details and many people do.

If we had to mention what’s the biggest addition to Madden NFL, the answer to that is that they added a feature called Gameflow to the game, which makes it so that you don’t have to flip through the playbook and this is great because you didn’t see this in the previous games. With the Gameflow feature you can plug in your headset and the coach will actually tell you in your ear more detailed information while you are playing.

A great thing that you can participate in is The Gridiron Game Changers Sweepstakes that can earn you about 5.000 all for playing Madden NFL. You can can participate by simply sending a text keyword from the “Madden Mondays” website to the number 65579. Click here to check that out if you are interested, but who isn’t interested in wining $5.000 bucks for playing Madden NFL?

What separates this game from the other Madden games is that because of Gameflow, your game lasts less and that was always a problem in the previous games due to the fact that you would have to play one game for at least one hour. In addition to Gameflow, Madden NFL 11 has a great soundtrack that features bands like Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Bush, Queen, Kiss and many others that bring life to the game.

Overall, the graphics on this game look amazing and even though there are some negatives, the positive make up for it and because of the game play and their new Gameflow feature. Madden NFL 11 deserves a 9 out 10.

People check out some Epic Mickey gameplay!

by Elias - on Aug 25th 2010 - No Comments

This is a game that we are looking forward on it’s release date as it is a side scroll style of game, which we love as it brings back the classic style of games that were all used to. Epic Mickey takes you into a world where the forgotten and rejected Disney characters live in and because the game is coming out on the Wii, you will probably get to use the Wii remote so that alone will make it fun.

Microsoft Windows is 95 is 15 years old

by Elias - on Aug 24th 2010 - No Comments

It’s official Microsoft Windows 95 is fifteen years old as of yesterday and we couldn’t be prouder of Microsoft for their hard work on Windows especially on their new operating system Windows 7. If you are a Mac fanboy you probably will hate us over here for being fans of Microsoft. Not that we care, but screw Apple and their iTunes, DRM, and iPods, which suck by the way because these programs control and limit every aspect of your enjoyment of their products.

Not to rant here, but I’m a PC and happy birthday Windows!
