Asus introduces their new Eee Pad tablet PC

by Elias - on May 31st 2010 - No Comments

One of the things that didn’t impress us about the iPad is the fact that while playing with the device we realized that there really isn’t a need for it because you don’t get much for your buck you can read about it in our Apple iPad review. This is where Apple’s competitor, Asus is bringing up a challenge and that is with their new Eee Pad, a touch screen tablet PC that comes packed in with a trimmed version of Windows 7.

This device looks promising and because it’s a Windows 7 device and will probably be awesome. There aren’t any big details yet, but at least you get to see a screenshot up top of the device. It makes us wonder of gaming capabilities and the developers that would probably start creating for it. Another thing that would be interesting to see is the price, being that  Windows related products usually are cheaper than Mac products.

If the Eee Pad retails at about $250 dollars similar to a netbook and has at least 250 – 500 GB there is a huge chance that we have an iPad killer. We will keep you updated with any more news on this device,
