9 EA Games will go offline, Permanently

This is sad news that Electronic Arts will be putting 9 new games in addition to the other games that have gone offline permanently already. We could only hope this doesn’t hurt EA as far as business goes because when you buy a game you at least hope that you can play it for a few years. The bad publicity that this could create can and will hurt EA in the long run because it creates a bad reputation for them.
Games that are on the Playstation 3, XBOX 360 and even the Nintendo Wii should not have their servers shut down because these consoles are fairly new. If EA Games did that with XBOX or a PS2 game then it’s more acceptable because those consoles are old and rusty. PC games should have at least 6 years server run and 4 year life to games that suck because some people like bad games too.
We do give them credit because we haven’t seen their best titles go offline, which means that EA is just removing servers of titles that probably didn’t do well in sales as well as people playing online.
